Tsenko Minkin is a Bulgarian musician and composer. Graduated in composition at the Music Academy in Sofia, in the class of Professor Alexander Raichev. At age of 12 he made his first recordings at the Bulgarian National Radio as a pianist, performing his own works. At the age of 15 he composed a percussion quartet, which was published by Music Publishers in Bulgaria. At the age of 19 he performed his first concert with own music in Sofia (Chamber and Symphony works). At the age of 20 he began working as a freelance composer. He composes film and theatre music. Since 1998 he has worked as Music Editor at Balkanton Record Company- Sofia.
Tsenko Minkin is one of the founders of a MUSICAUTOR, the Bulgarian Copyright Agency. Since 1992 he has been a member of the Board of Management.
He composed over 110 chamber, vocal symphony and choral works. He wrote the music for over 50 feature films and documentaries, 15 of them have won awards at international festivals. His works were performed in Austria, France, Germany, Greece, Italy and other countries. He was a member of international juries at the film festivals in Budapest and Peking. He won the Sofia Music Award (1988) and Honorable Diploma of the Bulgarian Ministry of Culture for contribution to the Bulgarian culture (1998).
Since November 2014 is a Chairman of the Union of Bulgarian Composers.
